Alfred University professor Wang featured in Marquis Who’s Who Insight

Xingwu Wang, professor of electrical engineering and renewable energy engineering at Alfred University, is featured in the latest edition of Marquis Who’s Who Insight.


ALFRED, NY – Xingwu Wang, professor of electrical engineering and renewable energy engineering at Alfred University, is featured in the latest edition of Marquis Who’s Who Insight.

Wang has long been listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and is endorsed by the publication as a leader in the field of physics. In 2019, he was named a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who. He has also been included in its list of Top Engineers recognized for “dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of engineering education.”

Wang earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Harbin Engineering University (China) in 1987 and an M.S. degree in physics from Hangzhou University (China) in 1981. He came to the United States in 1982 to continue his studies, earning a doctorate degree in physics from the University at Buffalo in 1987. He was appointed assistant professor of electrical engineering at Alfred University in 1988 and in 1993 became associate professor. He was named a professor of electrical engineering in 1997.
