Two MFA students open thesis exhibitions this weekend

Two candidates for Master of Fine Arts degrees from the Alfred University School of Art and Design will present their thesis projects in exhibitions opening Saturday, April 30.


ALFRED, NY – Two candidates for Master of Fine Arts degrees from the Alfred University School of Art and Design will present their thesis projects in exhibitions opening Saturday, April 30.

Exhibitions by MFA students Henry Jackson-Spieker and Mollie McKinley will remain on view through Tuesday, May 3. Jackson-Spieker and McKinley will give artist talks related to their work: Jackson-Spieker’s will be on Tuesday, May 3, at 4:30 p.m.; McKinley’s will be on Tuesday, May 3, at 5 p.m. The talks will be offered virtually.

Jackson-Spieker’s Sculpture/Dimensional Studies thesis exhibition will be shown in the Fosdick-Nelson Gallery. An opening reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 30.

McKinley’s Sculpture/Dimensional Studies thesis exhibition in the Robert C. Turner Gallery is titled “Dissolve Coagulate.” An opening reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 30.
