Alfred University/ Düsseldorf MFA painting students to present virtual exhibitions

A live virtual tour of thesis exhibitions for degree candidates in the Alfred University/ Düsseldorf, Germany MFA program in painting will be held Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m.


ALFRED, NY – A live virtual tour of thesis exhibitions for degree candidates in the Alfred University/ Düsseldorf, Germany MFA program in painting will be held Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m.

The Alfred University School of Art and Design, Division of Drawing, Painting and Photography, offers an international MFA Program in painting. The program operates jointly at Alfred University and at the School of Art and Design’s studio facility in Düsseldorf, Germany. Students work with American and European artists and scholars, gaining an international perspective while interacting with art communities on two continents.

Students whose work will be included in the Alfred University/ Düsseldorf MFA in painting thesis exhibition are Isabel Monti, Yushan Lai, Emma Barnes, Siennie Lee, and Madeleine Speicher-Willis. The five students will give “walk-through” presentations of their exhibitions, providing brief descriptions of their work. The schedule for the presentations (all Eastern Standard Time) is as follows: Madeleine Speicher-Willis, 10 a.m.; Nina Lai, 10:20 a.m.; Isabel Monti, 10:40 a.m.; Siennie Lee, 11 a.m.; and Emma Barnes, 11:20 a.m.
