Alfred University awarded for financial management

Alfred University has been recognized for excellence in management of its finances. Giovina Lloyd, vice president of Business and Finance and chief financial officer, recently received notification from financial services firm three+one that the University is recipient of the firm’s prestigious 90+cashVest Award for 2022.


ALFRED, NY – Alfred University has been recognized for excellence in management of its finances. Giovina Lloyd, vice president of Business and Finance and chief financial officer, recently received notification from financial services firm three+one that the University is recipient of the firm’s prestigious 90+cashVest Award for 2022.

According to Rochester-based three+one, the award signifies “excellence in implementation and management of all liquidity in the public and higher ed marketplace.”

The award is based on how a public entity or institution of high education operates within five distinct qualifying areas: percent of available funds providing value; liquidity proficiency; Warnick rate indicator; cash flow optimization; and investment policy practices.

“To qualify for this award, an entity must Have received a cashVest score of 90 or above for four consecutive quarters and keep a cashVest score above 90 to remain in the 90+ cashVest Club,” three+one explained in its letter to Lloyd announcing the award.
