Glass blowing studio operated by Pearl Dick ’98 featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show

Alfred University graduate Pearl Dick ’98, a glass artist based in Chicago, was featured on a recent airing of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she talked about her glassblowing studio, which offers programs that encourage growth and healing in inner-city youth.


Alfred University graduate Pearl Dick ’98, a glass artist based in Chicago, was featured on a recent airing of The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she talked about her glassblowing studio, which offers programs that encourage growth and healing in inner-city youth.

The show, which aired Sept. 28, included a story by local reporter of Leeann Trotter from NBC Chicago. The story shined a spotlight on Pearl Dick and her studio, Firebird Community Arts. The studio, located on Chicago’s West Side, offers glassblowing workshops and therapeutic group sessions for youngsters who have experienced trauma.
