October 18-22: Matthew Gantt - Artist-in-Residence -Institute for Electronic Arts

Monday October 24 9-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m., first floor, Harder Hall, Sophomore Wheel Studios. Visiting artist demonstrations - Wes Brown and Peter Jadoonath in ceramics

Monday October 24, 5-6 p.m., IDEA Lab, second floor, Harder Hall, closing reception “Monument and Mythology,” Wes Brown and Peter Jadoonath.

Wednesday, October 26, 7 p.m., Nevins Theater, Wednesday Arts Speaker Series, Ben Fino-Radlin, an art conservator and entrepreneur passionate about helping others solve complex challenges in preserving digital art and cultural heritage.

As founder of Small Data Industries, Fino-Radlin has collaborated with artists, estates, museums, and private collections all over the world. Before establishing Small Data, they served as associate media conservator at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), where in addition to the conservation of time-based media art, they managed the design and development of the institution’s digital repository. Prior to this, Ben led preservation initiatives at Rhizome as their inaugural Digital Conservator.

The Institute for Electronic Art’s Experimental Projects Residency is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and the Schein-Joseph Endowment.
