Alfred University held a dedication ceremony Saturday, Sept. 1, unveiling the new physical rehabilitation facility made possible by a gift from alumni Rick and Mena Hansinger.


ALFRED, NY – Alfred University held a dedication ceremony Saturday, Sept. 1, unveiling the new physical rehabilitation facility made possible by a gift from alumni Rick and Mena Hansinger.

The Mena ’73 and Rick ’75 Hansinger Family Physical Rehabilitation Center is located in the McLane Center, in space that was part of a renovation project done over the summer. The facility provides a classroom and rehabilitation facility, which includes state-of-the-art equipment and opportunities for hands-on experience for Athletic Training and Health Fitness Management majors.

Rick Hansinger is former president of Friends of Saxon Athletics (now Saxon Nation), an organization that supports the athletics programs at Alfred University.

The dedication and ribbon-cutting for the Hansinger Family Physical Rehabilitation Center was featured in Wednesday’s edition of the Hornell Evening Tribune. Read the story here.
