ALFRED, NY – The parents of a recent Alfred University graduate have facilitated gifts that will create unique new opportunities in the University’s School of Art and Design.

Norman and Sarah Keyes and parents of Mary-Hall Keyes, who earned a B.F.A. degree from Alfred University in May. The Keyeses have created opportunities for faculty, staff, and students in our School of Art and Design to utilize a seacoast property in Maine for collaborative and creative projects, curriculum development, and skill building.

Inspired by their daughter’s experience at Alfred University, Norman and Sarah Keyes also facilitated an anonymous $1 million endowment gift to establish a Special Projects Fund for the School of Art and Design. The Fund will support academic innovation and collaboration, student scholarships, visiting professorships, and other programs aimed at enhancing educational opportunities in the School of Art and Design.
