ALFRED, NY – Xingwu Wang, professor of electrical engineering and renewable energy engineering, is featured in the most recent issue of Millennium magazine.
Wang has long been listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and is endorsed by the publication as a leader in the field of physics. In 2019, he was named a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who, a foremost source of biographical data for leaders in a variety of fields, including research and education.
Wang was appointed assistant professor of electrical engineering at Alfred University in 1988. In 1993 became associate professor and in 1997 he was named a full professor of electrical engineering in 1997. He earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Harbin Engineering University (China) in 1987 and an M.S. degree in physics from Hangzhou University (China) in 1981. He came to the United States in 1982 to continue his studies, earning a doctorate degree in physics from the University at Buffalo in 1987.
