Kirstin Wilders' 'As Above, So Below'

Two Alfred University alumni have won awards in the 2020 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award program, sponsored by the International Sculpture Center.


Two Alfred University alumni have won awards in the 2020 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award program, sponsored by the International Sculpture Center.

Kirstin Willders has been named a 2020 award recipient and will be included in a future online exhibition hosted by the ISC. She also will be included in a feature article in the November/December 2020 issue of Sculpture magazine, which is published by ISC. Her award-winning work, As Above, So Below, is composed of glass, neon, ceramic, GTO wire, electrode boots, latex paint and transformers. View Kirstin's recent MFA Exhibit.

Erin Hoffman has been named a 2020 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Honorable Mention and will be recognized in the November/December 2020 issue of Sculpture magazine. View Erin's recent MFA Exhibit.

 Both Wilders and Hoffman earned Masters of Fine Arts degrees from Alfred University’s School of Art and Design in 2020.

 The International Sculpture Center was founded in 1960 to advance the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society.
