Alfred University alumna Yasmin Mattox ’07 recognized for accomplishments in technology
Alfred University alumna Yasmin Mattox ’07 is one of two Rochester area women professionals honored for their work in the field of technology.
ROCHESTER, NY – Alfred University alumna Yasmin Mattox ’07 is one of two Rochester area women professionals honored for their work in the field of technology.
Tech Rochester on Tuesday announced that Mattox was named Emerging Technology Professional Woman of the Year. Mattox, who earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Alfred University, is founder of Arkatecht, which creates products that assist women in realizing their fullest potential in accordance with family and career goals.
Tech Rochester recognized Mattox and Technology Woman of the Year honoree Sharon Samjitsingh (co-founder of Healthcare Originals) during a virtual ceremony Tuesday. Tech Rochester, founded in 2000 as Digital Rochester, honors professionals in the technology field who live, work and make a greater impact on the Greater Rochester area.
The mission of Mattox’s business, Arkatecht, is to help working parents more easily advance in their careers. She and her team do this by creating software that tackles the unique logistical obstacles to advancement that parents face—increasing time constraints and the scarcity of childcare—on their behalf. In doing so, Mattox seeks to help working parents accomplish their professional aspirations in a manner that respects their parenting needs.
