Alfred University Professor of Philosophy Emrys Westacott recently had two publications in philosophy journals: an article titled “Moral Relativism” in the journal Dialogue, and a review of philosopher David Velleman’s new book, On Being Me (Princeton University Press, 2020) in the current issue of The Philosopher Magazine.


Alfred University Professor of Philosophy Emrys Westacott recently had two publications in philosophy journals: an article titled “Moral Relativism” in the journal Dialogue, and a review of philosopher David Velleman’s new book, On Being Me (Princeton University Press, 2020) in the current issue of The Philosopher Magazine.

Westacott earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the co-author with British philosopher Chris Horner of Thinking Through Philosophy (Cambridge, 2000), and the author of The Virtues of our Vices (Princeton, 2011) and The Wisdom of Frugality (Princeton, 2016). He has published numerous articles and is a regular contributor to the online news aggregator and magazine 3 Quarks Daily.
