Alfred University alumna Sondra Perry '12 recently contributed her print deep inside deep deep down inside to Round 3 of Art for Black Lives, launched this month in support of The Frances Thompson Education Foundation, an organization that provides support for Black Trans and non-binary students seeking financial assistance for completing their education.


Alfred University alumna Sondra Perry '12  recently contributed her print deep inside deep deep down inside to Round 3 of Art for Black Lives, launched this month in support of The Frances Thompson Education Foundation, an organization that provides support for Black Trans and non-binary students seeking financial assistance for completing their education. 

Perry, who earned a B.F.A. degree from Alfred University in 2012, is currently an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, where she teaches Advanced Video to both graduate and undergraduate students.

In 2017, Perry was awarded a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant and Perry was awarded a 2017 Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant, and the 2017 Gwendolyn Knight and Jacob Lawrence Prize, which included a solo show at the Seattle Art Museum and a $10,000 stipend.
