The Alfred University Senior Shows, which are a requirement for graduation from Alfred University’s acclaimed School of Art and Design, have become a major attraction for art lovers, who are drawn to Alfred for the opportunity to see and purchase work by some of the country’s most promising young artists.
Two senior shows are scheduled every year. In December the mid-year graduates mount their thesis exhibits in the Robert C. Turner Gallery in the McGee Pavilion. The majority of seniors exhibit their works in May at the end of the Academic Year.
Work on display represents a diverse number of mediums and genres including ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, video, sonic arts, interactive media, interactive graphic design and drawing.
May 2020 Senior Shows Are Going Virtual!
We are pleased to feature the work of the 2020 Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates in an online exhibition. Senior shows were scheduled to open to the public this weekend on campus. We are proud to honor our Class of 2020 and highlight what they have worked toward all year. "Gather" with us virtually to celebrate their accomplishments!
