Benson, "Nuther Version", is a 1997 16.2 hand chestnut Quarter Horse gelding. He was thoughtfully donated by Dawn Yuhas, and is being used in our western program. His sweet face and awesome temperament make him a favorite among the students!.
Dolce, "La Dolce Vita", is a 2001 16.2 hand chestnut Thoroughbred gelding. He was thoughtfully donated by Samantha Palmerton and is currently used in our English program where he excels at dressage and flat work.
Gandalf, is a 2000 16.1 hand grey Irish Sport horse gelding. He was generously donated by Ilene Ayers, and is currently being used in our English program. Gandalf is a great jumper and is a favorite among students and the Varsity Hunt Seat Team.
Jasmine, a 2000 15.2 hand bay Holstiner / Thoroughbred mare. She was donated to the program by Annette Lyth and is currently being used in our English program. She is a quiet mare who enjoys jumping and flatwork. Her sweet personality makes her a great addition to the program.
Kiddo, "Topsail Kid", is a 2003 15.1 hand chestnut Quarter Horse gelding. He was generously donated by Thomas Campbell, and is currently used in our western program. Kiddo is one of our best reiners and is a favorite to draw at horse shows!
Punch, "Breakfast at Tiffany's", is a 1992 17.2 hand chestnut Oldenburg gelding. He was generously donated by John Makin, and is currently used in our English program. His smooth gaits make him a favorite for students to flat during lessons and practices.
Raven, "Wicklow Raven", a 2001 16.2 hand bay Thoroughbred mare. She was donated by Charlotte and David Guest, and is currently being used in our English program. Raven has a sweet personality, is a wonderful mover, and has excellent scope over the jumps. She excels in both the hunters and the jumpers and is a top choice for lessons, practices and shows.
Rufus, "Sunset Rock", is a 1991 chestnut warmblood gelding. Rufus was donated by Karen Fugua and is currently used in our English program. He is 17.3 hands, making him the tallest horse in our barn! Despite his height, he is a sweet and gentle guy who loves to help beginners learn the basics.
Sarah, "Good Heavens I'm Hot", is a 2002 15.1 hand chestnut Quarter Horse mare. Sarah was shown in Quarter Horse shows before coming to Alfred; and did especially well in trail classes. She was donated by Annette Matthew and Sofia Lilly, and is currently being used in our western program. She is a great mover with a smooth jog and lope and is a great draw at the pleasure shows.
Zim, "Nabob Zimry", is a 1992 14.2 hand bay Dutch Warmblood/ Welsh Pony cross gelding. Zim was thoughtfully donated by Michele McLead. He was imported from Holland by Lendon Grey for one of her Young Riders and trained through Prix St. George dressage. Zim is currently being used in our English program. His exceptional talent for dressage makes him a great horse to learn the basics on.
Vanik is a 1994 17.3 hand grey Czech Warmblood generously donated by Bruce Fergueson. This horse is really special! He is amazing on the flat and could do flying lead changes all day long. He was only recently added to the Equestrian Program but is already one of student's favorite horses.
Clare is a 2000 16 hand chestnut Thoroughbred donated by Ann Jensen. Clare is a wonderful mover and loves to jump; she is a mare who truly loves her job! She is a wonderful addition to the program and students love her sweet personality.
Jake is a 1998 16.3 hand dark bay Thoroughbred gelding donated by Kenneth Green. He is currently being used in our English program where is he doing really well! His is a great mover and jumper with a sweet personality. He is a great draw for horse shows and practices.
Murphy is a 1997 16 hand dark bay appendix Quarter Horse donated by Karen Neville. He is a good mover and truly loves to jump. He consistently does well at horse shows and has become one of the favorite horses at the Center.
R-Star is a 6 year old sorrel Paint mare donated by Daniel Whitney. She is our newest addition to the Center and has been very successful in the Western program. Her smooth gaits and quiet personality make her a great horse for all levels of western riding.
