Information Technology Services is pleased to offer assistance to faculty as they organize their Canvas courses for the spring semester. Appointments are available for assistance with the following tasks:

- Creating a Module structure and adding materials
- Organizing course materials
- Creating assignments and updating settings
- Customizing the course menu
- Importing items from previous semesters
- Other tasks as requested

This is the initial announcement of a new initiative for SP 21 which is being supported through the Institute for Cultural Unity.

The Diversity Innovation Funding Project is a collaborative competitive granting opportunity for teams of students and professionals (staff, faculty, administrators) to propose projects to advance community, collaboration, and education for the Alfred University community through targeted programs, series, or events.

The Institute for Cultural Unity and its sponsors are committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for all members of the Alfred University community. To that end they have provided fiscal resources to the initiation of the Diversity Innovation Funding Project for Spring 2021.

On January 25, a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) will be launched. At that time teams of students and professionals will be able to submit proposals to the review committee for consideration for funding. The range of support can vary from $300-$700. The goal for Spring 2021 proposal window is to support 3-5 projects, programs and/or events for the Fall 2021 semester.

The proposal announcement (Attachment 1) and a listing of sample/exemplar projects (Attachment 2) are included with this posting.

Students, you can use financial aid to purchase your textbooks & supplies at the AU Bookstore 1/8/21 thru 02/7/21. You can place your order online and enter your student ID # in the SFA payment option. This will only work IF you have financial aid available. You can also use financial aid in the store for textbooks and supplies.

The Wellness Center's Counseling Services will be available to students beginning Monday, January 18th. The Wellness Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. All counseling services will be done via tele-mental health with the exception of crisis mental health emergencies.
