Protect Our Campus, Use The "Phish Alert Report" Button

As many of you know, we have a new automated phishing prevention system. I am advising all our users to utilize the "Phish Alert Button" in Outlook (image attached).

If you receive a suspected phishing email, clicking on the Phish Alert Report button will remove it from your email and quarantine it for analysis. And even better, through your reporting, ITS systems will automatically look for similar emails on university servers and remove them from other accounts. In this way, you are acting as a "human firewall" to protect yourself and the wider campus community from these social engineering attacks. Report with confidence...If you (accidentally) falsely report a phishing email, the analysis engine will release it back to you.

Auditions for Spring Production

The Alfred University Theatre Dept. will hold auditions for our spring production of RICH B*TCH by Rachel Lynett, directed by Asst. Prof of Theatre Jonathan Ziese.

Five women of color. A 'bachelor party' at a 5 Star hotel. No one was expecting the proverbial (and literal) cuts that they would ultimately inflict.
RICH B*TCH by Rachel Lynett: a dark intersectional comedy

Actors should prepare a contemporary monologue of no more than 2 minutes.
Please email the director with any questions @ ziese@alfred.edu

Auditions: Sat Dec 3 from 1-4pm & Sunday Dec 4 from 11am - 1pm. Callbacks Monday Dec 5 (time TBD)

Campus Menorah

Hillel has some funds to commission a campus menorah. We want this menorah to be crafted here at Alfred by our own students. We're seeking an artist who can design and create a mixed-medium menorah that is large. The mixed mediums I think would go well are glass, clay, and iron.

We want this to be an AU community menorah, that we can put next to the fiat lux sign with the purple Christmas trees to represent the different identities we have here at Alfred.

Other important information includes;

use of purple and gold colors,

9 cups for candles,

also large think 6' 6" tall

Submit drawings to scale and an estimated budget with your proposal.

Our due date for this piece would be the last day of classes, however, if it can't be done, we are willing to accept it for next year.
