Just a reminder of how to submit your alcohol event form.
Please see the attached link for the form. Form must be completed four (4) weeks prior to the event. You must also include a quote/menu from AVI.
Once you complete the form and have a menu for your event, submit to Emma McDowell at mcdowelle@alfred.edu. I will have the Dean for Student Experience sign off (Thomas Orrange). We will then forward for the rest of the process.

The director for the AU Theatre dept. fall show of Marisol is looking for angel wings.... In the play, the angels revolt and go to war with what they call a senile God who has abandoned humanity. So the angels shed their wings of peace and love and adorn their wings of war. With that in mind, the director would like to fill the scenography gallery in Miller with YOUR interpretation of angel wings. Looking for all mediums, the more diversity the better! Open to all Alfred Unv students. All artwork must be received by Nov 6 for Nov 9 opening.

The Writing Center is open on weekdays for drop-ins and scheduled appointments from from 10:15am to 4:15pm in Seidlin 008.
We are also open from Sunday - Wednesday in the Bookend Lounge in Herrick Library for drop-ins from 7:30pm - 9pm.

Bergren Forum
Thursday, Sept. 21st

Reconnecting to an artistic practice through the pursuit of pleasure, play, and persistence, Sarah Blood, Assoc. Prof. of Light, will share her sabbatical research, questioning traditional expectations of the "serious artist" at work and how embracing moments of joy and uninhibited play outside the studio can catalyse growth inside the studio.
The Bergren Forum takes place every Thursday lunchtime during the semester from 12:10 pm to 1:00 pm in Nevins Theater. You're welcome to bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
