Faculty and Staff - the Tuition Exchange Export Application deadline is October 28, 2024.
If your child is planning to begin college (or transfer to another college) next year, 2025-26,
you may wish to explore the schools participating in the Tuition Exchange (TE) Program. RENEWAL TE Export applications are also subject to the deadline of October 28, 2024.
Please read the attached TE Information Memo for application procedures and details on the program. Two application forms are required:
The AU TE Export Application must be completed online at the TE website using the EZ-App.

ITS is pleased to highlight Canvas tools and features that can help faculty and students achieve their goals. This week's tip is:
Quiz Answer Feedback
When creating a quiz in Canvas, you can add written feedback to each possible answer. The students will see the written feedback after they complete the quiz, as long as they are permitted to see their responses. Immediate feedback can help students understand their progress and identify skills or information they may need to focus on. Instructions are included in the guide below:

This open session will take place via zoom beginning at 2pm every Monday!
This is the perfect time to ask questions about using the system or specific areas that you are having a hard time with! Our goal is to help you get "unstuck" and be able to use the system with ease!

Don't forget Tuesday, October 22 is the last day to withdraw from a class that meets all semester. Be sure to fill out the form and obtain the necessary signatures before submitting to the Registrar's office at [email protected].

Spring semester will be here soon. Prepare by meeting with your advisor during advising week which starts Monday, October 28.
Web registration begins on date noted for each class standing:
* Graduate Students & Seniors (90+ credits) = Monday, Nov. 4th
* Juniors (60-89 credits) = Wednesday, Nov. 6th
* Sophomores (30-59 credits) = Friday, Nov. 8th
* First Years (0-29 credits) = Tuesday, Nov. 12th
Remember all undergraduates need an alternate pin number to register and those are received from your advisor.

Are you a young professional in Allegany County or nearby looking to connect with like-minded peers? The Allegany County Young Professionals Group is excited to relaunch, offering valuable opportunities for networking, professional growth, mentorship, and community engagement.

The Alfred University Wellness Center will be hosting the Alfred Pharmacy on-campus for flu shot clinics on October 8th and October 22nd. These clinics are open to all AU students, faculty, and staff.
Each clinic will be held in the Knight Club from 8:30-11:30am. Please note that appointments are mandatory and you must bring identification and your insurance card to your scheduled appointment.

Midterm grades and A-Block final grades are due by 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 14th. No classes on Monday October 14 and Tuesday October 15. Classes resume and B-Block begins, Wednesday, October 16th. Timely midterm grade submission helps students make decisions about withdrawing from a course before the withdrawal period ends. The last day for students to withdraw from a course that meets all semester is Tuesday, October 22.

There are two trunk or treat opportunities being organized this year.
The College of Business along with the Center for Student Involvement are coordinating a Faculty and Staff Trunk or Treat on October 29th from 5 -7pm. Faculty and Staff are invited to participate in Trunk or Treat on Academic Alley. To RSVP for a spot email Rachel Lehman [email protected]
Student Senate, Student Activities Board, SAAC and the Center for Student Involvement will again host Truck or Treat at President Zupan's house on October 31st from 6 - 8pm. AU Libraries will be open over October Break, but with reduced hours.
In the spirit of October Break, Herrick and Scholes Libraries will alternate open hours on Saturday and Sunday to encourage library patrons and library student employees to rest and restore.
Herrick Library Hours
Friday, Oct. 11; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday, Oct. 12; CLOSED
Sunday, Oct. 13; 2:00 pm- 10:00 pm
Monday, Oct. 14; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Tuesday, Oct. 15; 8:00 am - 12:00 am (back to regular hours)
Scholes Library Hours
