ITS is pleased to highlight Canvas tools and features that can help faculty and students achieve their goals. This week's tip is:
Create Multiple Due Dates for One Assignment
When creating an assignment in Canvas, instructors have the ability to create multiple due dates for different individuals or groups of students. This can help accommodate special requests by students due to a variety of circumstances (athletes who must travel for a game, for example). Instructions are included in the guide below:

AU's Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Task Force is pleased to offer an information session/ conversation on the topic of Digital Accessibility. Digital Accessibility is the practice of creating electronic materials that are usable by all individuals, regardless of disability status or the use of assistive technology. It is also an important step to further promote inclusivity among our students, staff, and faculty.
The session will provide a brief overview of Digital Accessibility, as it applies to Title II of Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as practical steps everyone can take to increase the accessibility of their documents, web pages, and course materials. A variety of instructions, tools, and resources will also be provided.
This event will be held over Zoom on Tuesday, April 8, from 2:20 to 3:10 pm. To request the Zoom link, please email Meghanne Freivald, Chris Gause, or Samantha Dannick.

Saxon Shield is an eco-friendly, reusable,
unscented, and effective solution to
unwanted odors. It is a pack of charcoal
pouches that can be put in gym bags,
lockers, cleats, and anywhere else you may
experience unwanted smells. Saxon Shield
works by using the porous nature of the
charcoal to absorb unwanted smells. The
charcoal absorbs pollutants and traps them
inside, leaving your shoes, home, locker
rooms, backpack, scentless!
