Alfred Ceramic Art Museum presents upcoming Spring 2026 Exhibition:

"Sharif Bey: Autoethnography"
February 12th to July 19th, 2026

Opening Reception: Thursday, February 12, 5-7pm

Sharif Bey is an ambidextrous user of clay, as comfortable making pots as he is making poetic figures, daunting wall pieces or the gargantuan necklaces of his "Adornment" series. His work can be read at many levels - as an exploration of the multifaceted "ethnos" of his life; as an investigation of how meanings can shift according to context; as a ceramic practice that refuses to remain fixed in any one category, celebrating instead the endless possibilities of the medium. This show presents the diversity of Bey's practice, which nevertheless retains a united, and utterly unique, style and vision.

Vigil for victims of ICE violence

Please join your community for a vigil and peaceful protest to remember Renee Nicole Good and all other victims of ICE violence, and to stand in solidarity with your colleagues and neighbors to show that this violence and terror is unacceptable. We will meet at noon on Friday, January 9th�at the traffic light.
