Got events? Submit to the Calendar!

The University Events Calendar on alfred.edu is a central place where external audiences discover what's happening across campus. The Office of Marketing and Communications encourages all departments, offices, and student organizations to submit their Events. Submitting an Event helps maximize visibility, increases awareness, and ensures that they appear on relevant listings across university webpages. Any Event that is open to the campus community at large or the public (including lectures, performances, workshops, information sessions, home sports games, etc.) can be added to the Calendar!

Any campus community member can submit Events by following our documentation linked below. All Events submitted will be reviewed for approval before publishing to the Calendar. Please note that "Events" are not "Announcements." Events take place at a specific location, on a given date(s) and time. If your information doesn't have a location, date and time, then it is probably an announcement and may not be approved for the Events Calendar. Please submit Events at least 3 days in advance to allow time for review and promotion. If you have any questions, contact [email protected].

Thank you for helping keep our campus informed and connected. We look forward to sharing your events!

Apply for Women's Leadership Academy!

Applications are now open for the Women's Leadership Academy for next year (2026-27)!
This program is open to ALL students. So long as you are not graduating prior to Spring 2027, you can participate!

What is the Women's Leadership Academy? This program (WLA for short) is a long-standing tradition of the Judson Leadership Center. For students who wish to explore leadership development and have an interest in the intersections of gender, leadership, social change, and more - this might be the right fit for you. The program does involve two courses that are 2-credits each - one in the fall and one in the spring. The WLA is a one-year commitment [one academic year].
We are now taking applications for next year's cohort (Fall 2026 - Spring 2027). Faculty, staff, and students can also nominate a student to the WLA by sending Abby Hurley ([email protected]) their name.
We are also having a Women's Leadership Academy Open House on Saturday, February 21st in the Judson Leadership Center that you can attend to learn more.

To apply for the WLA, use the link in this post. Applications are due March 8th, 2026.
