Fiscal Year Deadlines

The University Fiscal Year End is Tuesday, June 30th. Please take note of the following important dates and tasks to ensure a smooth end to FY26.

*Travel/Chrome River/University One Cards/Emburse Cards*
-July 10th - All travel expense reports and credit card transaction reconciliations for dates prior to June 30th must be submitted within Chrome River by the end of the day on July 10th for approval.

-All approvals must be completed within Chrome River by end of the day on July 17th.

*Accounts Payable*
-June 30th - Last day to receive merchandise/services for fiscal year 25-26.

-July 14th - Last day for forward invoices to [email protected] relating to products received/services performed through June 30th.

*General Business Office*
-July 17th - Last day to submit all transactions to the business office such as: corrections, transfers, journal entries, budget adjustments, etc.

-Please send all these transactions and other inquiries to [email protected] or upload into the secure document portal.

Welcome our new Assistant Director of Environmental Health and Safety!

Please join us in welcoming Joshua Mullen as the new Assistant Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at Alfred University.

In this role, Josh will help support the University's commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible campus for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. He will work closely with departments across campus to promote safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate training programs, and assist with emergency preparedness and response efforts.

Josh brings years of experience with him and is excited to become part of the Alfred University community. We are confident that his knowledge, experience, and dedication will be valuable assets to our campus.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Josh. We encourage you to introduce yourself and help make his transition to Alfred University a successful one. Josh can be found at the Steinheim or at ext. 2190.

Electrical shut down 07/11

Due to construction needs at the New Foundry, there will be a required partial campus power shutdown on July 11th 2026. The affected buildings and anticipated outage times are listed below.
6am till 10am:
Brick, Herrick Library, Kruson, Alumni Hall, Saxon Inn, Commons, Ford St Apts, Ann's House, Pearlman, Myers.

6am till 3pm :
Kanakadea, Jordan, Seidlin, Seidlin Annex, Physical Plant, Step Lab

In advance of this outage please back up and save any and all work on computers and unplug any power sensitive equipment that is susceptible to power surges.
