Dr. Christopher Churchill won the Malcolm Bowie Prize for the best article published in the preceding year by an early-career researcher in the broader discipline of French Studies. Dr. Churchill will receive the award at the annual conference for the Society for French Studies, in Aberdeen, Scotland, 29 June - 2 July. His article was “The Unlikely Barrèsian Inheritance of Albert Camus.” Journal of the Canadian Historical Association / Revue de la Société historique du Canada, vol. 23, n° 2, 2012, p. 251-297. Dr. Churchill was also the recipient of Alfred University’s Joseph Kruson Distinguished Award for Excellence in Teaching this year.
