COVID-19 Relief Fund
Alfred University has emergency funds — established through the generosity of alumni — which can be used to help students defray the cost of attendance or other related expenses. Short-term off campus housing is one of those costs for which there is a real need, in some cases meaning the difference between attending and not attending classes this fall. Money from the emergency fund can be disbursed to provide for students in need. The University is negotiating with hotels and motels in the area, but many students will face a financial hardship if they are forced to stay in a hotel for two weeks. Grants from our emergency funding can help them pay for their room and meals until they can safely move into their campus residence halls.
