Director

Amanda joined the CDC in May, 2016. She comes to AU with 10 years of experience in higher education career development. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in psychology from Shippensburg University; her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2001; and her Master of Science in Counselor Education in 2005, both from The Pennsylvania State University. Amanda is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is Certified on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She has served on the Board of the Middle Atlantic Career Counseling Association (MACCA); the Ethics Committee of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and is a past president of the Maryland Career Development Association (MCDA).

Jill joined the CDC team in July, 2007. She has a Master of Science in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from SUNY Brockport.

Art Career Advisor and Service-Learning Coordinator

  • Liaison to the School of Art & Design
  • Career Advisor for Fine Arts and Performing Arts students
  • Promotes, educates and oversees all service learning programming on campus
  • Mentor for the Gary Horowitz Leadership Development Program capstone projects
  • Co-Teaches UNIV 115: Concepts of Service Learning

Corey grew up in Portland, Maine, and came to study at Alfred University in 1997. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in Fine Arts, and recently completed a second bachelor’s degree in Art History and Theory. Corey is currently enrolled in AU's College Student Development graduate program and lives with her husband Dan, daughter Claire, cat Gus, and dachshund Biscuit in Hornell, New York. She loves learning about art, literature, and languages, and sings with the Alfred University Chorus. Corey and her family enjoy traveling, both locally within the Finger Lakes region and, when possible, abroad. Corey began working at AU on a part-time basis in 2005, and on a full-time basis in 2008. In May 2014, she joined the Career Development Center. “I enjoy working closely with Alfred’s wonderful art and performing arts students! Being inspired by their energy and creativity is the best part of working in higher education.”
