Jill joined the CDC team in July, 2007. She has a Master of Science in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from SUNY Brockport.

Mariann is certified in the Strong and MBTI Personality and Interest Assessments. Having earned a Master’s Degree in Education with advanced master’s coursework in Counseling, Mariann has experience in working within a number of roles in higher education. Currently assisting all students in career counseling as well as career advising and working to connect employers and alumni with Alfred University student talent. Mariann also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Alfred University and enjoys presenting and teaching on a variety of career related topics to classes.

Art Career Advisor and Service-Learning Coordinator

  • Liaison to the School of Art & Design
  • Career Advisor for Fine Arts and Performing Arts students
  • Promotes, educates and oversees all service learning programming on campus
  • Mentor for the Gary Horowitz Leadership Development Program capstone projects
  • Co-Teaches UNIV 115: Concepts of Service Learning

Corey grew up in Portland, Maine, and came to study at Alfred University in 1997. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in Fine Arts, and recently completed a second bachelor’s degree in Art History and Theory. Corey is currently enrolled in AU's College Student Development graduate program and lives with her husband Dan, daughter Claire, cat Gus, and dachshund Biscuit in Hornell, New York. She loves learning about art, literature, and languages, and sings with the Alfred University Chorus. Corey and her family enjoy traveling, both locally within the Finger Lakes region and, when possible, abroad. Corey began working at AU on a part-time basis in 2005, and on a full-time basis in 2008. In May 2014, she joined the Career Development Center. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Alfred’s wonderful art and performing arts students! Being inspired by their energy and creativity is the best part of working in higher education.”

Susan Meacham

Office Manager

  • Coordinates the annual Outcomes Graduate Survey Report
  • Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates work-study students
  • Project Manager for the Saxon Career Volunteer Network and open houses

Susan joined the CDC in 2005 and follows in the footsteps of her grandfather and mother whose combined service to Alfred University numbered more than 50 years. She grew up in Alfred Station, NY and received her Associates Degree in Executive Secretarial Science from Alfred State College. She lives in Alfred surrounded by a large extended family. She has two grown children: a married son who lives in Philadelphia and a married daughter in Alfred who have blessed her with five wonderful grandchildren. When not in the office she enjoys participating in church activities, scoping out deals at estate/garage sales, reading, gardening, and cheering for the AU football team. Go Saxons! She says: " It is great being part of a strong team that offers wonderful services to help students succeed at finding their career paths... and have fun doing it!"

Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Peggy moved to Steuben County in 1974. She joined the CDC staff in 1996. Peggy lives in Hornell and has three wonderful children: Dustin, Sarah, and Kalyn. All graduates of Alfred University. Peggy has also been in the Army Reserves for over thirty years. She says: "I love my job. All of the students that I meet are on a mission, and I love helping them reach their goals."
