  • Honors Convocation - 3:30 PM, Miller Performing Arts Center
  • Pine Hill Derby - 6:00 PM, Alfred University's Pine Hill Suites
  • AU Symphony Orchestra and Guest Artist Frank Mitchell Bush - 7:00 PM, Miller Theater
  • Hypnotist Tom Bresadola - 9 PM, Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall
  • Observatory Open House - 9 PM, John L. Stull Observatory (clear skies only)

Saturday, April 26

  • Fun Bun Run/Walk - 9:15 AM registration, 10:00 AM run/walk, Herrick Library
  • Hot Dog Fesitval - 12 Noon until 5:00 PM, Main Street. Booths, arts & crafts, games, live music, raffles and of course HOT DOGS! Come and participate in one of Alfred's oldest traditions. Proceeds to benefit local charities.
  • Hot Dog Eating Contest - 1 PM, Carnegie Hall
  • Mud Olympics - 2:00 PM, Tucker Field. A Hot Dog Day tradition. Student teams get down and dirty in the mud playing volleyball, tug-of-war and wheelbarrow racing.
  • DOGFEST - Outdoor Music Festival - 6 PM until Midnight, McLane Center and parking lot, featuring six bands, numerous food/beverage vendors and other surprises. Featured acts will include the indie rock band American Authors, hip hop/R&B artist Mack Wilds, country artist Greg Bates, indie pop band MisterWives, "What Cheer? Brigade" - a 19-piece brass band, and Boston's Hunting Stories (bluegrass). Tickets on sale February 26th at a cost of $10 ($15 at the door) for AU or Alfred State students or $15 ($20 at the door) for the general public. Purchase tickets on-line.
