Position Title: Director, Office of Sponsored Projects

and Duties:
The Director of the Office of Sponsored Projects is responsible for all aspects of Sponsored Research Administration. The incumbent collaborates with university leadership, administrators, and faculty to grow and sustain sponsored research; identifies and communicates funding opportunities to proposal writers; assists with proposal preparation and oversees proposal submission; administers the University's Intellectual Property Policy; negotiates contracts and non-disclosure agreements; develops and implements policies to ensure financial compliance; supervises accounting staff that monitor the financial aspects of grants and contracts; oversees billing and collections related to sponsored activity; and supports the University's A-133 Single Audits and agency audits. Other duties and projects as required.
Requirements: Master's degree in public administration, business, finance, law, or other related field. Bachelor's degree and seven or more years experience may be substituted for Master's degree. Certified Research Administrator preferred.
Experience: Five years experience in university sponsored research administration, other grants administration, or public administration and five years supervisory experience. Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
