|Position Title:||Turner Teaching Fellow in Ceramic Art
|Location:||School of Art & Design
|The School of Art and Design in the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University is seeking candidates for the Robert Chapman Turner Teaching Fellow in Ceramic Art for the 2018/2019 academic year. The Turner Teaching Fellow will be an emerging artist with an MFA or equivalent degree. A studio space will be provided with full access to ceramic facilities.
The teaching fellowship is a non-tenure full-time faculty position within the Division of Ceramic Art, renewable up to three years. All ceramic genres are eligible for consideration. Teaching responsibilities will consist of classes at the undergraduate level. The candidate's area of expertise will factor into the teaching assignments.
|Requirements:||A MFA or equivalent degree is required. Also required is an emerging record of scholarly/creative productivity appropriate to teaching at the college level; ability to work collaboratively within the department, the school, the university, and the community; and ability to communicate with and mentor students on all levels.|
|Experience:||Experience teaching and advising students preferred.
