|Position Title:||Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering|
|Location:||Inamori School of Engineering|
|Responsibilities:||The Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University invites applications for a tenure track appointment as Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering starting in August, 2018, or earlier, by mutual agreement.
Located in rural western New York, Alfred University is a private, non-sectarian university serving ~ 2000 undergraduates and 300 graduate students. The School offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Glass Engineering Science, Biomaterials, Mechanical and Renewable Energy Engineering.
|Requirements:||The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and the ability to teach a wide range of undergraduate engineering courses as well as an ability to serve as a mentor for undergraduate engineering students.|
|Experience:||Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred - structural mechanics, system design and simulation, computer-aided design, advanced manufacturing, and renewable-energy systems.
