|Position Title:||Financial Aid Secretary|
|Responsibilities:||The Financial Aid Secretary is the primary contact point for the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Secretary will advise and counsel students and parents on financial aid matters as well as other University departmental procedures and practices; coordinate promissory notes and loan documents for the Perkins Loan and University Loan Programs; manage office mail and document log file; responsible for office follow-up correspondence; and general secretarial functions. Some Saturday work days are required.|
|Requirements:||High School Diploma and some formal post high school education experience. Applicable Associate Degree or secretarial certificate preferred or an appropriate combination of college courses.
Knowledge required for admissions status, registration, University charges, enrollment status, student type and housing status.
Candidate should have exceptional interpersonal capabilities; strong communications skills; strong analytical and decision-making skills; strong keyboard skills; experienced user of Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, and Word); ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a high volume technical setting with constant interruption; and a commitment to working as part of a team.
|Experience:||Prefer candidates with experience working in a higher education setting and expertise with handling confidential information.
