Position Title:Part-Time APEX Coordinator
Location:Career Development Center
Responsibilities:The APEX Program Advisor is a newly created position, which will report to the Director of the Career Development Center. This position will coordinate the logistics of the new Applied and Experiential Learning Program (APEX) at Alfred University. This program will allow students to apply for funding to engage in work experience and study/research opportunities to enhance their career decision-making, increase their opportunities after graduation and inspire them to find their passions in life.

The APEX Coordinator is responsible for:
-Program Management and Logistics
• Ensures that APEX Program mission, values, guidelines, policies & procedures are implemented & maintained consistently.
-Advising and Mentoring Students
• Meet with students to discuss opportunities and assist with questions related to APEX.
-Marketing and Social Media
• Contribute to an internal brand management and marketing strategy to market APEX services and events to Alfred University students and the campus community.
-Employer/Alumni Development and Relations
• Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with local businesses and Chambers of Commerce with the goal of expanding APEX opportunities for students.
Requirements:-Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presenting.
-High level of professionalism; able to interact effectively with everyone from interns to CEOs.
-Willing to travel (up to 10%) and work outside normal work hours to support departmental events and respond to the needs of students.
Experience: At least three years of experience in collegiate career services, college advising, human resources, internship coordination, marketing, business administration, or related fields preferred.
