Position Title:Assistant or Associate Professor of School Psychology
Location:School of Graduate and Continuing Studies
Responsibilities:The School of Graduate and Continuing Studies at Alfred University is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in School Psychology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, beginning January 2019 or until the position is filled. We are seeking candidates with a comprehensive background in school psychology, preferably with expertise in MTSS, academic and behavioral interventions, and systems change. Qualified applicants will have a doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field and be licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in New York State.
Requirements:We seek motivated, enthusiastic applicants with a good sense of humor, strong interpersonal skills, and the potential for excellence in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion through their teaching, scholarly activity, and service. Specific duties and responsibilities will include teaching, scholarship/research, professional activity, university service, mentoring student research, and supervision of graduate students in school psychology. Instruction could include online or hybrid courses and remote instruction to, or from, a secondary campus.

The School of Graduate and Continuing Studies is comprised of three divisions: Campus Graduate Programs, External Graduate Programs, and External Undergraduate Programs. The campus graduate division contains programs in S hool Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, School Psychology, College Student Development, and Education. The School Psychology and Counseling programs within the Division offer graduate programs leading to state and national certifications as a School Psychologist and NYS Licensed Psychologist as well as NYS certification as a School Counselor and NYS Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor. The School Psychology programs are approved by NASP and accredited by APA, while the Counseling programs are CACREP accredited.
Experience: Founded in 1836 and nestled between the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains and the Finger Lakes wine region in western New York State, Alfred University is a small comprehensive private university. It is situated on a sprawling 232 acre student-centered learning community where about 1,700 undergraduate and 140 graduate students from 39 states and 16 countries attend.
