Position Title:Visiting Assistant Professor of Anatomy and Physiology
Location:Division of Biology
Responsibilities:The Division of Biology at Alfred University invites applications for a one-year visiting instructor/assistant professor beginning August 2019. We seek candidates with a background in anatomy and physiology who would be able to teach upper division Human Anatomy and Physiology with lab for Biology majors, and Human Anatomy and Physiology and Physiology of Aging courses for allied health majors.

Founded in 1836 and nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains and the Finger Lakes wine region in western New York State, Alfred University is a small, comprehensive private university with a long-standing tradition of excellence in Liberal Arts and inclusive practices. Alfred University is the second oldest co-educational college in the United States and one of the earliest to have enrolled African-American and Native American students. Ideal candidates will demonstrate an appreciation of issues that matter to our university community.
Requirements:Minimum qualifications include a MA/MS in biology or a closely related field, with preference given to those with a Ph.D. and undergraduate teaching experience. The candidate should provide evidence of excellence in teaching in the form of course evaluations (where available), a teaching portfolio, or letters of support.
