Alfred University alumnus and filmmaker Trent Cooper will be on the Alfred campus Oct. 20 to screen some of his works, including his most recent, a documentary series that examines the intersection of race and high school basketball in rural eastern Kentucky.

Alfred University alumna receives international glass art award

Glass artist and educator Anjali Srinivasan 'BFA 02, is this year's winner of the University of the Arts’ fifth annual Irvin Borowsky International Prize in Glass Arts. The award includes a $5,000 cash award, and an invitation to lecture at the Philadelphia-based school. Srinivasan will present her lecture Nov. 9 at the University of the Arts.

Alfred University continues to aid in hurricane relief efforts

A silent auction of artwork donated by the Alfred University community will be held later this month, with proceeds donated to help victims in Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Maria.
