Online Learning

Student working on his computerOnline Learning is a flexible option for busy students. Students may enroll in online courses to meet degree requirements, take electives, or complete courses ahead of time. Online courses do not meet on campus, and students complete assignments according to their own schedules. Many courses are unique to AU, and provide learning opportunities for enrolled and non-enrolled students.

Online courses are available during Allen Term (Winter) and Summer Term. Some online courses are available during the fall and spring semesters. All online courses are taught with Canvas. Technical support is available from Information Technology Services. Online Student Support is available for all students enrolled in online courses.

Alfred University is a member of The National Council's State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA), which allows AU to provide online education to students in all NC-SARA states.
