AU alumna Annabeth Rosen to exhibit at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston

An exhibition of works by Alfred University alumna Annabeth Rosen ’78 will be on view at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston from Aug. 19 through Nov. 26. “Fired, Broken, Gathered, Heaped”  is Rosen’s first survey and examines her work in ceramics spanning 20 years.

The show also features works on paper that are a reflection of Rosen’s works created in clay. Trained in ceramics she has diversified her artistic practice from the functional and decorative into conceptual creations.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Rosen received her BFA from Alfred University and her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Rhode Island School of Design, and Bennington College. Since 1997, she has been a faculty member at the University of California Davis, holding the Robert Arneson Chair.
