Alfred University President Mark Zupan to speak at The Harley School, Rochester

Mark Zupan, who has been the 14th president of Alfred University since July 2016, will deliver a lecture on his recently published book, “Inside Job: How Government Insiders Subvert the Public Interest,”  from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, in The Commons at The Harley School in Rochester.

            His presentation, part of the weekly Commons Speakers Series, is open to the public, free of charge. Please RSVP to tsmith@harleyschool.org

 

            During his talk, Zupan, who is an economist, will explore how entrenched government interests across the world use their power to subvert the public interest.

            Prior to becoming president at Alfred University, Zupan was a professor of economics and dean of the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester for 10 years.

            He is a past member and president of the Board of Directors for The Harley School, and the father of two alumni, Will and Walker.
