Alfred University Ceramic Art professor participates in international ‘Conversations’
Linda Sormin, associate professor of ceramic at in the School of Art & Design at Alfred University, will be one of 24 international artists participating in "Artaxis Conversations: 24 Artists, 16 Countries, 12 Hours ," Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. EST.
Sormin wll be answering questions that have been submitted to the Artaxis Conversa-tions' webpage and discussing her work from 8-8:30pm.
During the week of October 9th - 13th, National Clay Week is partnering with a range of artists and organizations across the ceramics field to explore the theme of community. This event opens a dialogue across Artaxis’ growing national and international membership.
Twenty-four Artaxis members from 16 countries will answer questions, discuss their work, and share their perspective on the ceramic field through live streaming video on Facebook Live. All of the videos will be streamed on the Artaxis Facebook page.
Sormin is a 2003 graduate of Alfred University, and has been a member of the faculty of the Division of Ceramic Art since 2016.
