Alfred University alumnus to talk at Environmental Studies Speaker Series
ALFRED, NY – Mark McGovern, a 2003 graduate of Alfred University, will speak at next week’s Environmental Studies Speakers Series, scheduled for 12:20 p.m. Friday (Nov. 3) in Roon Lecture Hall, Science Center, on the Alfred University campus.
McGovern, director of construction and infrastructure at Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, will deliver a presentation titled “From a Whisper to a Scream – Development in the Urban Environment. Exponential Growth at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Impacts and Issues.”
McGovern earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies from Alfred University. His presentation in the Environmental Studies Speakers Series will follow one given this Friday (Oct. 27) by Frederic Beaudry titled “Conservation in the Yukon Territory.” Beaudry is associate professor of environmental studies and geology at Alfred University.
