Alfred University Division of Expanded Media sponsors screening of film Mt. Rush
ALFRED, NY – Alfred University’s Division of Expanded Media is sponsoring a screening of the film Mt. Rush on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. in Holmes Auditorium, Harder Hall.
The film is being shown as part of the Queering Space collective at Alfred University, which opened Feb. 2 and runs through March 28. Queering Space, an art exhibition that examines where queerness meets form, includes works by nearly 60 artists, with several events being held in conjunction with the exhibition.
Mt. Rush is part of the Critical Cinema series sponsored by the AU Division of Expanded Media. The film chronicles the day-to-day activities of a queer Mt. Rushmore park ranger as she navigates an onslaught of interactive fundraising emails leading up to the 2016 presidential election.
The screening is also sponsored by Spectrum. In addition to Mt. Rush, other students’ film work will be screened Thursday evening in Holmes Auditorium.
