Measured SpaceNew Exhibit - Measured Space
Dates: Friday, November 1 - Friday, December 6
Location: Fosdick-Nelson Gallery
Sponsored by: School of Art and Design
Measured Space is an collaborative exhibition featuring the work of Brian Caponi, Thomas Schmidt and Shawn Murrey. The show directly and indirectly draws on the historical and geological trajectories of the area of Alfred, New York, as both source and site. Through diverse materials and sculptural processes, the artists in this exhibition seek to distill their collective and individual research into moments of focused recalibration towards the body in space.
The artists will give a talk on November 1 at 5:00 pm in Binns Merrill room 105-C, with the exhibition reception to follow from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
Measured Space will open Friday, November 1 and run through Friday, December 6. Gallery hours are 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. The gallery is closed during university holidays. For more information contact Gallery Director Sharon McConnell at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
