Amanda Taylor Lipnicki, "Soft Calculus"

Crochet is a textile art for creating fabric by interlocking loops of yarn using a hook.  Assoc. Prof of Mathematics Amanda Taylor Lipnicki will illustrate how math, including calculus, can be applied to design crochet patterns.  The talk will be framed for a general audience with no knowledge of calculus or crochet.
