Staff/Faculty Directory Photo Shoots

The AU MarComm office invites staff & faculty to attend one of several photo shoots to have their professional directory profile photo taken/retaken.

The AU Marketing and Communication office, under direction from the President’s office, requests your participation in capturing your profile photo/portrait for the official Alfred University electronic employee directory. Individual photo sessions take less than 5 minutes of your time.

Photos will be taken for those employees who do not yet have one (required). Re-takes for those who wish to update their existing photos are also welcome.


Our office's GA, Hannah Ulmen (BFA '22, MBA '23), will be available for photo shoots at the following locations on October 4th and 6th (Tue & Thu) as follows:

  • Campus Quad @ King Alfred Statue, 10am to 10:45am. (*Rain location: Harder Hall @ Top Floor/Turner Gallery)
  • Village Bandstand, 11am to 11:45am. (*Rain location: McMahon Engineering Building rear common area)
  • Canacadea Creek @ Jordan Hall parking lot, 12pm to 12:45pm. (*Rain location: Olin Building Stock Ticker)
  • Woughter Way @ Science Center rear entrance, 1pm to 1:45pm. (*Rain location: Science Center @ Roon Lecture Hall)

Although not required, we encourage you to be dressed in your favorite purple and gold or official AU-branded attire for the photo shoot!** Please reach out to Jeff McDowell with any questions. Thanks in advance for your participation! We look forward to seeing you there!


*Rain Location Disclaimer

We will opt to move to the indicated rain location if there is a chance that we will encounter any amount of precipitation during the photo shoot. Please feel free to confirm the location of the shoot with Jeff McDowell if there is any possibility of precipitation prior to making your way there.

**Policy for Photo Directory Attire

Alfred University is a unique place with unique people, where personal style is accepted, appreciated and encouraged. Our employee directory is an extension of how we want others to see us and is a celebration of our diverse employees. Please dress in a way that a student might encounter you in your work setting with the caveat that brands, logos, or marks (except for those of Alfred University) are not permitted in this professional photograph.
