Stanley Tam, MFA, Psy.D.Stanley Tam, Wellness Center Director (MFA, Psy.D.)

Dr. Tam is a licensed psychologist and serves as the Director of the Wellness Center at Alfred University. He received B.A. degrees in English Literature and Psychology from Syracuse University, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Emerson College, and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Illinois School of Professional Psychology. His therapeutic approach is centered on Existential Therapy, Internal Family Systems (I.F.S.) and parts theory, all of which emphasize human agency and strength based development surrounding the overlapping challenges with one's physical, social, personal and spiritual states. Some of his personal interests include bicycle building and repurposing, travel, reading, and DIY

Steve Byrne, Psy.D.Steve Byrne, Counselor-Part-time (Psy.D.)

Dr. Byrne earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University. He is also a faculty member in AU's Division of Counseling and School Psychology. He is a licensed psychologist and his professional interests include interpersonal relationships, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Steve's therapeutic approach emphasizes the development of cognitive skills within an insight-based framework. In his spare time, Steve enjoys cooking, movies, and music.

Lily Wolf, Ms, MFTLily Wolf, Counselor (Ms, MFT)

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Lily Wolf has worked with a diverse array of individuals, couples and families. Her counseling approach is client-centered, systems-based and accommodates an expanded definition of "family". Some of Lily's professional interests include healthy navigation of major life transitions and events, broadening traditional notions of sexuality and reducing phsycial and psychological pain through attention-focusing practices. She received a BA in psychology from Alfred University and an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Lily enjoys local, humane & sustainable cooking, Independent film and music, and being outdoors.

Kimmy MacCrea, LMHCKimmy MacCrea, Counselor (LMHC)

Kimmy MacCrea is a Mental Health Counselor who has worked in diverse community mental health settings and with sexual assault victims. Kimmy’s counseling approach is interpersonally based focusing on individual’s strengths and needs to synthesis growth.  Some of her professional interests include crisis intervention, sexual assault, trauma and grief treatment and utilization of experiential based therapies. Kimmy received her B.A. in Clinical Psychology and Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Alfred University. Kimmy enjoys sustainable farming, horseback riding, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Amanda KhodorkovskayaAmanda Khodorkovskaya, Health & Wellness Coordinator (BA)

Amanda obtained her Bachelors in Anthropology from SUNY New Paltz. She started a diversified vegetable market garden, alongside her husband, where they operate a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Amanda is also a founding member of the Alfred Farmers Market. Her farm hosts many volunteer and learning opportunities for students and the local community. Amanda's passion is on whole-body wellness and community building. When she's not busy providing Wellness Education on campus, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking, and tending her garden.

Kimberly O'RourkeKimberly O'Rourke, Secretary and Receptionist

Kim has been employed at Alfred University since 1990. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Support Staff of the Year award for 2003-2004. Kim enjoys meeting new students and collaborating with other Student Affairs Offices to provide programming. Kim loves to horseback ride, being outdoors, and spending time with her two daughters.
