Alumni Spotlight is an electronic newsletter produced by the Alfred University Office of Marketing and Communications and published periodically throughout the year. It aims to highlight news and accomplishments of our amazing alumni. Alumni news is included in the Class Notes section of the Alfred alumni magazine, which is published twice a year. Tom Quinn ’64 turns 82 and pedals 82 miles; has been bicycling his age since turning 70

To mark his 82nd birthday on February 21, Tom Quinn ’64, rode his bicycle 82 miles, continuing an annual tradition of bicycling the number of miles equivalent to his age that began 12 years ago, when he turned 70.

Kevin O’Buckley ’98 takes over leadership of Intel’s Foundry Services

Kevin O’Buckley ’98 has been named senior vice president and general manager of Foundry Services at Intel Corporation, effective May 13. Intel’s Foundry Services is the customer service and ecosystem operations division of Intel Foundry, a manufacturer of semiconductors.

Dr. Richard Gross ’61 welcomed into POSNA Hall of Fame

Dr. Richard H. Gross, MD ’61, was recently inducted into the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA). The recognition honors Gross and fellow inductees for their dedication to POSNA and for teaching and mentoring, studying musculoskeletal conditions in children, and caring for children with musculoskeletal conductions.

Alfred University Sigma Chi Nu sisters raising funds to renovate sorority house

Alfred University alumnae sisters of Sigma Chi Nu are raising funds to renovate the sorority’s house on Sayles Street in Alfred. The fundraising effort comes as the sorority plans this year’s celebration marking its 100th anniversary.
