Alfred University alumnus Bang Geul Han ’04 MFA has been named a recipient of a prestigious Creative Capital Award, presented to artists to finance their project and assist them in building their artistic careers.

AHA! Competition provides students opportunity to ‘pitch’ business proposals

In the third annual AHA! Pitch Competition, scheduled for Saturday, April 1, teams of students from Alfred University, Houghton College, and Alfred State College will present their ideas for creating a new business. Winning teams will be awarded cash prizes, which they can use toward putting their entrepreneurial plans into action.

Alfred University MFA student Rose Schreiber will present a paper, “Your Boasted Liberty: American History and Public Memory in a Contemporary Bust of George Washington,” at the upcoming College Art Association Conference, in New York City.

Professor Monia McLemore will deliver Riley Lecture Feb. 7 on Zoom

Professor Monia McLemore, of the Child, Family, and Population Health Department at the University of Washington School of Nursing, will visit Alfred University Tuesday, Feb. 7, serving as the first Riley Lecturer of 2023.
