The Pamela Lavin Bernstein Women of Influence Lecture Series, presented by Alfred University’s Judson Leadership Center, will be offered on Thursday, November 6, at 7 p.m. in Nevins Theater, Powell Campus Center. Shailee Basnet, leader of Seven Summits Women Team, the first female team to climb the highest mountain peak on every continent, will be the keynote speaker.

Alfred University’s Performing Arts Division this week welcomed more than 400 western New York high school students and their teachers for an immersive educational experience centered around Shakespeare’s Macbeth, which was performed last weekend in Miller Theater and will be performed also Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday Nov. 1.

The week of Oct. 20 was observed as National Transfer Student Week, an annual event that celebrates and supports students who have transferred to a new college or university, along with the higher education professionals who assist them.
