A group of Alfred University students are assisting with the development of the Neighborhood Museum of Play by conducting market research for the play-focused facility currently being planned in the city of Olean.

Rob Reginio began listening to Bob Dylan’s music when he was young and in the company of his mother, who enjoyed filtering her Dylan through Joan Baez’s graceful covers. But just before he started college, Reginio began listening to Dylan’s Bootleg Series and to songs that hadn’t undergone transformations into gentler versions.

On Oct. 21, the Rochester Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) held its annual Professional Development Day. During this event, the organization recognized winners of the 2025 awards for outstanding project management professionals in the Greater Rochester area. Among the honorees were two staff members from Alfred University.

Alfred University music students and faculty from the Performing Arts Division took the stage recently at one of the world’s most iconic venues, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City, as invited performers in the prestigious Golden Night Concert 2025.

The Alfred Cup, an annual year-long competition between varsity sports teams from Alfred University and Alfred State College, continues on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Saxon football team visits Alfred State for a 1 p.m. contest at the Pioneer Stadium.
