Alfred University announces the addition of Andrew “Bruce” Chamberlin, Patricia H. Nilsen ’88, and Nannette C. Stangle-Castor ’94 to the Board of Trustees. The Board elected the three new trustees at its May meeting; their terms commence on July 1.

Alfred University recently announced Benjamin Evans, assistant director and curator of the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum (ACAM), has been appointed the Museum’s Wayne Higby Director and Principal Curator, effective July 1, 2025.

A member of the physics faculty at the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) in Poland and one of his graduate students were at Alfred University Friday, June 27, to give presentations on their research work. The talks were open to the campus community, including students and faculty from the Inamori School of Engineering conducting research over the summer.

Alfred University Assistant Professor of Art History, Meg Bernstein, School of Art & Design, New York State College of Ceramics, recently published an article in the journal Different Visions: New Perspectives on Medieval Art examining the depiction of purgatory in a late twelfth or early-thirteenth-century mural on the wall of the parish church of St. Peter and Paul, in Chaldon (Surrey), England.
